Accommodation

Special room rates have been secured for delegates attending the QUESTnet 2014 Conference. All accommodation rates are quoted in Australian dollars, inclusive of GST and are per room, per night (room only). Please note that all accommodation bookings must be accompanied by a credit card guarantee. These details will be passed on to your specified hotel to secure your booking.

Transportation

Airtrain
Airtrain is available from Brisbane airport to Central Station in Brisbane City or the South Brisbane Stations. The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre is only 2 minutes from the South Brisbane Station, making Airtrain the most convenient transfer option.

Tickets are available for purchase at www.airtrain.com.au and cost from $16.50 one way.

The Airtrain Domestic station is located just outside the Brisbane Domestic terminal building. There are walkways and lifts located at the covered Skywalk entry which links customers to the Airtrain station.

Parking
Parking is available at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre with direct lift access the centre’s facilities.

General Information

Dress
The dress for all sessions and social functions is smart casual.

Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that participants take out their own general travel insurance. It is suggested that the insurance policy should also cover loss of fees/deposit, airfares, accommodation charges, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property and repatriation expenses. The Organisers do not take responsibility for any delegate failing to insure.

Privacy
The Privacy Act 2001 provides that delegates must consent to their name, organisation and city/country details only being distributed to conference delegates and sponsors. If you DO NOT wish for your details to appear in the conference participant list, please indicate so on the registration form.

Special and Dietary Requirements
We endeavour to ensure delegates with special and dietary requirements are catered for. Should you require particular assistance, please make a note on your registration form or contact the conference secretariat.

Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Queensland Government regulations also prohibit smoking within 20 metres of any building entrance. Smoking is also not permitted anywhere inside pubs, clubs or restaurants, commercial outdoor eating or drinking areas or in public places such as patrolled beaches, children’s playground equipment and major sports stadiums.
